The Problem
The client managed three separate WordPress sites for their manga and manhwa reading portal with over 200 active series. Each site ran independently, with slow load times and a fragmented user experience that made it hard to retain readers. The business was growing, but the infrastructure couldn't keep up. With 50,000 daily active users and peaks of up to 200,000 during new chapter releases, the WordPress sites would collapse or become unusable exactly when they received the most traffic.
The Solution
We unified the three sites into a single platform built from scratch with Laravel and React. We performed complete scraping of all existing content - around 200 series with thousands of chapters - migrating everything without data loss. We designed over 12 distinct mockups for web and mobile, each tailored to the content type and reading context. We integrated payment gateways for premium content, ad systems, and a server architecture capable of absorbing traffic spikes without degradation.
